Carolyn K Baumgartner, 81, of Kansas City, KS passed away on Monday January 3, 2022 at Riverbend post acute Rehabilitation center. Carolyn was born on Sunday, October 20, 1940 to Emmett and Mildred (Krisl) Emerson in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Carolyn loved her dogs, being with family, and watching animal planet and sci-fi channels.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Baumgartner of 41 years, sister Grace Woodard, brother Hollis Emerson, and daughter Daelynn Steele. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Marilyn Storie, Barbara Smith, and Rhonda Knight. Her sons Charles and David Huenefeld. and her brothers Roy and Jean Emerson. And also cherished by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.

Services will be held on Friday January 7, 2022 at Porter Funeral Home and Crematory, 1835 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 3:00. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.
