 Shirley A. Oswald, 85, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 at  Villa St. Francis. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, December 29 at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Colony Cemetery, Colony, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th St., #4126, Prairie Village, KS 66208.

     Shirley was born February 21, 1936, in Colony, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Mable (Hoffmeier) Shreck. She was united in marriage to Lester Lee Oswald in 1958 in Colony, Kansas. Shirley had worked for Hallmark Cards at Crown Center for over 30 years. She was a member of Overland Park Church of the Nazarene and was preceded in death by her parents and her  husband, Lester in 2010. Shirley is survived by 2 children and their spouses, Roger and Debbie Oswald, Bob and Sue Oswald, her twin sister, Beverly Ashcraft, grandchildren and their spouses, Dana Oswald, Laura and Nathan Schmidt, Lori and Luke Eisenbarth, great grandchildren, Peyton, Hanna, Jaycee and Piper Schmidt, Jaydyn, Collyn, Austyn and Hudsyn Eisenbarth.

Shirley and Les were like family to us. Through the years, we shared many travels to classiic car shows. Red Oak, Iowa, 'old car days' was a must as were many other states annual car show pilgrimages. We always admired the true love Shirley and Les shared. Shirley is now at peace and they are surely sharing their love again. Both come to mind often with wonderful thoughts of times together.
