Patricia Ann Vincent, 96, passed away October 30, 2021, at Saint Luke’s South Hospital. Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. on Wed., November 3, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Burial in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Patricia was born and raised in Gilman City, Missouri. she was the youngest of eight children. She came to Kansas City in her early 20’s to work and live with her sisters who came years earlier. She was a secretary and bookkeeper in the garment industry. She joined ABWA where she spent many hours donating her time and crafting to help raise money for scholarships for young women and men.  She loved and attended the Dinner Theater for many years. First with her lady friends and then finally with her daughter and her daughters husband. 

She moved to Overland Park in 2003 to be closer to her daughter. And there she converted to catholicism and joined the Catholic Church. She participated in the Prayer Group where she met many wonderful women and men. She loved her church and the people who were so kind and dear to her. Unfortunately due to Covid her church attendance was curbed. She really hated to miss church but due to her health she didn’t want to risk it. In the last year of her life her health declined and she was home bound as she finally gave up driving. Thanks to Margie Foley she was able to received the sacrement at home. This meant a lot to her and she was thankful. She kept in touch via telephone with several women from church. Their calls and friendship really made her happy. She was also very thankful for her neighbors who were kind and helpful. She said she felt blessed.
