For the first years in my Religious Life, I lived with Sister Joseph Ann when we taught in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a great teacher and helped me so much in my first years of teaching. I have often thought how blessed I was to have had such a good beginning with such great help to be the teacher that I was. With the help of such great women,I loved teaching and grateful to have had such rich experiences in the classroom

Helene was a woman of Faith. Now she KNOWS face-to-face our God whom she loved and in whose Love she trusted. Because of an appointment that cannot be changed I will not be present at Wednesday's Mass--only in the spirit. With sympathy for family and friends, but with thanks for Helene, I send my prayerful thoughts.

Helene was a great woman. She did courageous work in the county jail. Always good for a laugh at a Charities party. May she rest in peace.
