Jan 26, 1951---Aug 30, 2021

John Edward Curtis, 70, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Monday, August 30 at Providence Medical Center.  Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS.

Ed was born January 26, 1951, in Kansas City, KS and was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Curtis is survived by his wife, Linda Curtis, of the home as well as 2 children: John, Jr. (Lisa) and Heather (Cardell), 6 grandchildren: Lacey, Amber, Jack, Brittney, Kenzie, Cameron, 2 great grandchildren: Riley and Ryder.  He is also survived by his sister, Nancy (Steve), and brother, Fred.

In 1969 he married the love of his life and, together, they raised their 2 children, enjoying the time spent watching them play sports, study and, ultimately, graduate. Ed proudly served in the Army from 1970 to 1976 and was a true patriot. He also worked with the U S Postal Service for nearly 30 years until he retired. Ed never knew a stranger and was always ready to help. He loved traveling with his wife and taking photos to share.  He also enjoyed playing golf, fishing and, most of all, story telling.
