Dan Wayne Howe, 72, Mission, KS passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Morningside Place, Overland Park, KS. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Porter Funeral Home, Lenexa, KS. Father Bill Porter will officiate. Inurnment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, KS.
Dan was born August 20, 1948 in Duluth, MN, the son of Ralph Wayne and Lila Carol Howe. He lived in Elk Mountain, WY and moved to Kansas City in 1963. He graduated from Raytown high school in 1966 and Central Methodist College in 1970. He worked in sales for many years. Dan was an avid tabletop RPG player. He loved reading science fiction and fantasy genre.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Kevin. Dan is survived by his wife of 42 years, Teresa J Howe, of the home, three children and their spouses, Jeffrey Howe, Amanda and Joe Chamberlain and Timothy and Pauliina Howe, his sister, Carol Schwartz, two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to Catholic Community Hospice (CCH).
