Jul 22, 1930---Jan 16, 2021

The very best among fathers, husbands, and friends, Edward “Ed” was born July 22, 1930 to Louis and Loraine Fritsch in St. Louis, MO. He was most well-loved for his wonderful sense of humor, bringing a smile to the faces of all he meet, be it friend or stranger. His infectious laugh is never forgotten by those who knew him. Ed graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri, and led a business career in sales management. He authored popular self-improvement and self-learning books including Speed Learning and Master Thinker, to name a few. Ed was never one to keep his gifts to himself, and spent more than 15 years with the Small Business Association (SBA) as a counselor, going on to serve as a volunteer with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Engineers). With SCORE, he helped many entrepreneurs develop business plans and provided advice for those looking to improve or start their own business. Ed was also honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as a 1st Lieutenant in 1956. He is survived by daughter Victoria Hoffman, sister June Conant, and son-in-law Shawn Hoffman. In addition to the St. Louis area, Ed spent many years in Mt. Laurel, NJ, and Shawnee, KS. A private celebration of life will be held in his honor. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Veterans’ Community Project of Kansas City. https://www.veteranscommunityproject.org/donate
