Angeline (Latas) Hinkle 93, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away December 14, 2020, at Bishop Spencer Place in Kansas City, MO, while receiving rehabilitation from a recent surgery and being treated for the Covid-19 virus. She was born to Mile and Sophie (Docmanovich) Latas in Kansas City, Kansas.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Wm. (Bill) T. Hinkle after 62 years of marriage her daughter, Sharyn Connor, and her granddaughter, Annie Relford, her siblings, Mary Denonovich, Milica Latas (passed shortly after her birth), Nick Latas, Eli Latas, Mildred Hanlan, George Latas, Mike Latas Jr., Bogdan (Bud) Latas.

Angie is survived by her brother, Joseph (Joe) Latas of Wichita Kansas, her daughter, Karol Relford (Dave), sons, Wm. Mike Hinkle (Diane), Patrick Hinkle (LeAnn), Kevin Hinkle (Ivana) and son in law, Bob Connor. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 27 great children, and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She graduated Wyandotte High School. 

Bill and Angie both were very involved with the Disabled American Veteran Association Wyandotte Chapter #1, with both holding many different offices for many years. Their most favorite activity was having bingo at the Leavenworth VA and also at the local DAV Chapter. Dad would be working different jobs or be calling bingo and mom would be busy cooking during the games, many would come just for her cooking. Her younger years after High School she worked in different department stores then after getting married and having 5 children she was a homemaker and took care of all her kids. She always said her pride and joy were her kids. Angie loved to travel or just plain take a ride anywhere. While watching TV she would be crocheting making baby blankets for everyone. She had many plants around the house and each plant had a name and so enjoyed taking care of them all.

She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Peter's and always attended the Saturday 4:00 p.m. Mass. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020 starting at 10:00 am with the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter's, 416 N. 14th St. Kansas City, Kansas with Fr. Anthony Saiki officiating and Deacon Mr. Michael Wilson. Burial with be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in KCK. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the RCIA program at the Cathedral of St. Peter's, 409 N. 15th , Kansas City, Kansas 66102.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions please enter the church from the parking lot door on the south side of the building. Masks and social distancing are required and will be enforced.
