Condolences

Connie Henry Mar 16, 2010

Dear Bill and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Evelyns death. Evelyn was such a great role model for me and a big part of my growing up years. I took 8 years of piano from her, and my favorite memories are sitting at the upright piano in your living room with her talking about music and life. Okay, I admit I was terrified at my first recital at Haven Baptist, playing \"March of the Mighty,\" but Evelyns encouragement helped me get past the nervousness. Evelyn lived out her faith in so many ways. Her positive Christian influence rippled outward and touched so many other lives. I have played piano for 45 years and have been at the bench in many different church settings since seventh grade. Evelyn taught me to use my God-given talent in His service and for His glory, just as she did. We were blessed to have her teach my oldest son Jacob as well. It was a delight and a privilege to sit in your living room again listening to her teaching. Evelyn was a fine, strong, wonderful woman who loved the Lord and loved all her students. We will miss her happy laugh, her beautiful smile, and her passion for the Lord. May He hold you all close during this time of grief and loss; our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
In His love,\r\nConnie Pino Henry\r\n and family
