Teresa Lynn "Terri" Fulghum, 72, passed away at home. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Walter and Jacqueline (Britt) Eggers.

Terri was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a woman of uncommon kindness, quiet confidence, and generosity, whose greatest happiness came from the people she loved.

Full of life, warm, and gracious, Terri had a gift for making others feel welcome, valued, and loved. She was capable, sensible, and quietly strong, yet never concerned with drawing attention to herself. She saw the good in people, never spoke an unkind word, and treated everyone she encountered with warmth and respect.

Terri graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1972 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, in 1977, graduating with honors. She went on to complete her medical technology training at Saint Luke's Hospital in 1982 and began her professional career as a medical laboratory technician. After many years devoted to raising her family, Terri returned to work as a paraprofessional at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School, where she supported students with special needs. Her natural patience, warmth, and kindness made her especially well suited to the role, and the students flourished in her care.

As a wife, Terri was a loving and devoted partner to her husband, Gary. She was instrumental in building a family grounded in patience, generosity, and unconditional love. As a mother, she gave her sons the freedom to be themselves and the confidence to find their own paths. As a grandmother, she brought that same unconditional love and devotion to her five grandchildren. Her life was a beautiful example of how much one person can give to others through a lifetime of kindness, generosity, and love.

Terri is survived by her loving husband, Gary Fulghum; her sons, Clay (Kristin) and Jordan (Mary Kate) Fulghum; her five grandchildren, Leighton, Amelia, Piper, Bear, and Jacqueline; her brother, Jeff (Deb) Eggers; and her mother, Jacqueline Britt Eggers. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Eggers.

A private memorial service and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her name to CurePSP or The University of Kansas Health System.

Old friend/ roommate ,Kansas City ,Missouri

I have many memories of the year or so Terri and I shared an apartment in the late 1970's as we were both just stepping into adulthood - almost right out of school. I'll not forget the day the little tuxedo kitten hopped into our new apartment, and after looking for the owner, decided to keep him. We named him Robert - because apparently the previous tenant was still getting mail at our place, and his name was Robert. Of course, Robert became a part of Terri and Gary's household after they got married. My sincere condolences to Jackie, Gary, Jordan, Clay, and the grandkids.
