Shirley M. Hollingsworth, 91, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.  Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by the Funeral Services at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 22, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shawnee,  KS. Memorial contributions may be made to Lenexa United Methodist Church.

Shirley was born March 11, 1935, in Bazine, KS to Harvey and Marie Krug.  She married Morris Gene Hollingsworth on October 13, 1956.  She was a member of Lenexa United Methodist Church, the NEA.  Shirley retired as a Second Grade Teacher from T.A. Edison Elementary School in Kansas City, KS.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 44 years, Morris Gene Hollingsworth, and her daughter Susan Hauenstein.  She is survived by her son and his wife, Steven & Janelle Hollingsworth, Overland Park, KS, three grandchildren, Erica and her husband Peter Frayling, Adam Hollingsworth and his friend Alex, Grant Hollingsworth and his fiance' Gabi, sister Joan Stieben, and great grandson Oliver Frayling and many extended family and friends. 

She was a dedicated wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a gracious woman who was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
