Ruthann Batliner, 93, Kansas City, Kansas, died Saturday, February 21, 2026 at her home. The funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 28, at the Cathedral of St Peter, 416 N 14th St. Kansas City, Kansas. Entombment in Mount Calvary Mausoleum. Friends may call 5-7 Friday at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave.,Kansas City Kansas where the Rosary will be recited at 4:45 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the Cathedral of St Peter or Sister Servants of Mary.

Ruthann was born July 17, 1932, in Kansas City, Kansas and was a lifetime member of the Cathedral of St Peter. She had been a secretary at St Peter’s Cathedral grade School for 25 years. Ruthann was a member of the Cathedral of St. Peter, the Altar Society and Holy Rosary Circle. Ruthann was preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Batliner, an infant son John, son Danny Batliner, daughter-in-law Linda Batliner, daughter-in-law Anne Batliner, infant grandson Brian, and two sisters. She is survived by six children and their spouses, Virginia and Michael Hill, Kansas City KS, Gary and Cindy Batliner, Kansas City, KS, Jane and Dan Keleher, Bartlesville, OK, Larry and Denise Batliner, Overland Park, KS, John and Jackie Batliner, Edwardsville, KS, Amy and Brian Wagner, Overland Park, KS, daughter-in-law Linda Palen, Wichita, KS, 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
