Robin Hill Lascon was born June 6th 1970 to Ronald & Donna Hill. At an early age, Robin realized she wanted to live a life of adventure and that is the life she manifested.
A Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Porter Funeral Home, Lenexa, Kansas. Graveside Services will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
Robin's earliest travel partner was her mom. Each Summer they would go on bus tours, exploring interesting places around the country, such as Jackson Hole, WY which she absolutely hated because it was so boring. Robin was bitten by the travel bug early on and this continued throughout her life.
Robin attended Shawnee Mission West, Lenexa and graduated from Kansas State University GO WILDCATS! She then began her career at Merk Animal Health, where she was part of the team for 23 years. It was at Merck where she met the love of her life Joe Lascon, whose adventurous nature matched hers. Throughout their 22 years of the couple compiled countless unforgettable memories.
The couple were avid collectors. Robin's treasured collections were Precious Moments, Cow Parade and Hallmark ornaments but the couples most impressive Kollection was their KISS Kollection. Not only does this include photographs of them with the band members but also guitars with autographs, Paul Stanley art work, two KISS pinball machines and many other unique items such as two KISS Kaskets.
Robin loved many things but her greatest but her greatest joy in life was her daughter, Jade. The two of them were best friends that loved being together. Jade loved experiencing new things with her mom, shopping, and traveling in many places such as Mexico, Vegas, and Alaska. Because they were such a close family many of their adventures included her step-daughter Kayla and Robin's mother, Donna. Robin, Joe, Jade, Kayla and Donna enjoyed spending time together going to concerts, dining out, and experiencing different things while traveling together. These are priceless memories for all of them.
Robin and Joe both loved music so they often traveled the country to attend concerts and festivals. Robin loved Motley Crue, Poison and KISS so its no surprise that she and Joe were on the maiden voyage of the KISS Kruise. They were in the elite club of those who attended every Kruise, 13 to be exact! Some highlights from those times are meet and greets with band members, nights with friends from around the world in the casino, wearing group song shirts, dressing in costumes, listening to music late into the night. A special memory was sharing their love of the Kruise with Jade & Kayla on the last Kruise. This ended up being more than just a vacation, it was a reunion of family from around the world and this bond expanded beyond to shared experiences with fellow KISS Kruisers at concerts, festivals, or just getting together to hang out.
For Robin's 54th birthday friends traveled from around the country to join in the celebration and for those unable to attend, videos and well wishes were sent so Robin could see.
Robin was a kind, generous, loving soul who touched so many people and she will never be forgotten she is not free to move onto her biggest adventure but she will truly be missed.
We Love you Mama!
