Jul 31, 1938---Sep 18, 2026

Paul J. Coniglio Sr., 88, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 18, surrounded by his loving family.  The visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. with the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 24 at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, Kansas.  Immediately following the Funeral Service, you are invited to participate in the committal service at the Highland Park Cemetery Mausoleum, 3801 State Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. A luncheon and reception will be held at Central Church of the Nazarene, 12600 W. 87th Street Pkwy, Lenexa, Kansas, following the committal service. All are welcome.

Paul was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on July 31, 1938, to Sam and Ann Coniglio.  He has been a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area.  Paul graduated from Wyandotte High School in1958, where he met his future wife, Helen, and they were married in 1960.  He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Cyndy, and his son, Paul, Jr.

Paul started his career at International Harvester and worked for Roadway Express for more than 30 years, retiring at age 57.  He was a local driver achieving a million-miler safety record and a proud member of Teamsters Local #41.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Thomas Coniglio, daughter, Cyndy Galate, and son, Paul Jr., (Nicole),  seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and sister, Theresa Miles.

Paul was proceeded in death by his parents, Sam and Ann Coniglio, sister, Pat Cahill, brother, Sam, son-in-law, Steve Galate and daughter-in-law, Kim Coniglio.

Paul always lived life to the fullest; cherishing time and memories with those that he loved.  He was an outstanding family man and a hard worker.  He loved to joke and tease others, always looking for the lighter side of life.  He was known as being able to fix anything and was always willing to help others.  His fixes may not have been by the book, but they worked and he prided himself on having that ability.  He loved spending time camping, boating, swimming and enjoying family.  Paul’s legacy as a fun-loving family man and a great friend to many will carry on, and he will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
