Jun 28, 2006---Mar 01, 2026

Our precious Mason (Macer) was gently carried to his heavenly home on March 1st, 2026. Mason was born on June 28th, 2006, in Overland Park, KS and resided in Lawrence, KS at the time of his passing. Mason was a fun, loving, caring and tender-hearted individual, that gave so much and asked for little in return. He had a great personality, wonderful smile, infectious laugh, and a strong work ethic. He loved sports (Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks) played baseball and was a great bowler. Mason was a proud graduate of Olathe Northwest HS, where he participated in the 21st century program (e-communications), OATC (welding), and was a three-year varsity letterman on the ONW bowling team. He loved being a part of Cub Scouts (Pack 3387) and earned the Arrow of Light before crossing into Boy Scouts (Troop 182). Mason had several interests and hobbies that included, gaming, welding, working on cars, skateboarding, listening to new music, golf, watching movies, and collecting expensive shirts, shoes, and cologne. His favorite holiday was 4th of July, and he became drawn to big firework explosions, many he would create on his own. Mason was a generous kid and loved animals, especially his kitty cats, Magic and Binx. He was looking forward to starting a career as an electrician and was accepted to the IBEW 124 Hall after he passed the electricians aptitude test.

Mason is survived by his forever soulmate Addison Berry (Lawrence, KS) loving parents Danielle Browning (Michael Peavy) (Springtown, TX) and Ryan Browning (Clarice Podrebarac) (Lenexa, KS) brother Ian Elfont (Tucson, AZ) Grandad Charles Browning and wife Vicky (Lee’s Summit, MO) Grandfather Donald Ardison and wife Kaye (Pindall, AR) Grandmothers Donna Ardison (Shawnee, KS) Barbara Browning (Lee’s Summit, MO) Uncle Dale Bruscher (Kansas City, KS) and Aunt Mindy Davies (Shawn Lasley) (Olathe, KS) and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mason was preceded in death by Grammy Monica Browning, Grandfather Dennis Koehler. Mason’s bright spirit, kind heart, and unforgettable smile will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held on Tuesday March 10th at Lenexa Baptist Church (15320 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66219). Visitation is from 4pm-6pm with funeral services from 6pm-7pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to Great Plains SPCA Pet Adoption Center.

My heart is broken over the loss of Mason. I could only imagine the pain and the grief endured by his immediate family. The tears wept over the memories and the life of such an amazing young man. may GOD dry your tears and turn your mourning into dancing. May he give you joy when the sunrise and supernatural strength to bear it all. Remember to lean on GOD and remember that he is yet in control. His love never fails nor will he forsake us. To the entire Browning family, you will forever be in my prayers and Mason forever in my heart.

Anytime I went urban exploring, Mason would always hit me up and come along. When we were younger he took me to an abandoned hospital, the abandoned Federal Reserve, and a few other places. Mason had a way of finding beauty in things most people would see as ordinary, and he turned that into things that lasted, like the photos he took. He built a really cool Volkswagen GTI we used to hotrod around in and formed great relationships with just about everyone he met. He was always operating on a high frequency. I honestly never saw him in a bad mood. Mason was incredibly intelligent and had a level of creativity I don’t think I fully understood until now. Sending my condolences and prayers to Mason’s family and everyone who loved him.
