Dec 10, 1947---Feb 23, 2026

Mary Lou Grabosch, a cherished soul adorned with love and grace, was called to her eternal home on February 23, 2026, at the age of 78. Born in Centerville, IA, on December 10, 1947, Mary Lou was a beacon of kindness and generosity throughout her journey on earth. She departed this life in Kansas City, MO, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving a legacy offaith and compassion.

Mary Lou's life was one of devotion—devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. She was a proud graduate of Unionville High School, Class of 1965, and carried the values and lessons from her youth with her throughout her life. After marrying, she made her home in Kansas City, where she lovingly raised her children and spent the rest of her years. A devout Christian, Mary Lou's life was a living testament to her faith. She found great joy in fellowship with her church family. Her commitment to her beliefs was evident in every aspect of her life, from her unwavering kindness to her belief in the power of prayer and miracles. Mary Lou's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. She delighted in spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, cherishing every moment and creating lasting memories surrounded by food and laughter. Her love for travel took her to places far and wide, yet she always found comfort in the simple pleasures of a good movie, performances at the Kansas City Symphony, and the music and countless concerts of Rod Stewart. An animal lover at heart, Mary Lou's compassion knew no bounds, and her pets always held a special place in her home and heart.

She is survived by a loving family that includes her children, James Bryan Stark (and his wife Bridget) and Suzanne Limpic (and her husband Stephen); her adored grandchildren, Gavin Stark (and his wife Taylor), Austin Stark, and Sienna Stark; and her dear sister, Carol Stark, her nephew, Jeffery Stark and niece, Stacey Covington (and her husband Joe) and countless great-nieces and nephews. Mary Lou joins in Heaven her beloved mother, Marvel Grabosch, and her cherished brother-in-law, Gary Stark, both of whom preceded her in death. Those who knew Mary Lou will remember her as a true reflection of love, kindness, and generosity. Her warm smile and gentle spirit touched countless lives and will be profoundly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her life was a beautiful testament to love in action—marked by service, compassion, unwavering faith, and a heart that gave freely to others. We will forever cherish her memory as a reminder of what it means to live fully and love deeply.

As we say goodbye to this extraordinary woman—our beloved mother—we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the many hearts she shaped and nurtured. May she rest in eternal peace, held securely in the love of her Savior. If she could leave the world with one final wish, it would be this: that every animal find a safe and loving home, and that every person be treated with kindness, dignity, and love
