Martin D. Golubski, Sr., 70, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Golubski, his parents, James S. Golubski, Sr. and Elizabeth A. Golubski, his brothers, James S. Golubski, Jr., Jerry L. Golubski, and Frederick Golubski, Sr.
His survivors include his sons, Martin D. Golubski, Jr. and his wife Liz, Manchester, New Hampshire, James A. Golubski and his wife Lindsey, Kansas City, Kansas; five grandchildren, Carson Golubski, Colton Golubski, Charlotte Golubski, Olivia Golubski, and Hudson Golubski; his brother, Michael Golubski (Robbie) of Kansas City, Kansas, and sister, Nancy Gilbert (Lonnie), and many nieces and nephews.
Martin was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Kansas. Born December 1, 1953. He attended Saint Joseph Catholic School (KCK) and graduated Wyandotte High School in 1971.
Marty met the love of his life, Ruth Gilbert, and married in 1980. Together they raised two boys, Martin Jr. and James.
Marty worked for the Board of Public Utilities for 33 years as a member of the IBEW. Upon retirement Marty loved to spend time with family and friends and take frequent trips to the park with his dear dog, Rowdy. Marty was a generous and loving father, sibling, and friend to all.
The visitation will be on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, KS. Burial will be at Mt Calvary cemetery following the service.
