I went through grade school and high school with Marie and we shared some great times and many laughs together. Though distance apart didn't afford many visits over the years, it was always wonderful to see her at reunions and we could pick right up where we left off. She was a very special woman and I loved her to pieces. Jim and family, I'm very sorry for this huge loss in your lives. You're so in my thoughts. Love, Julie Bushnell

Marie had a warm smile that was infectious. She helped raise me as a rookie assistant principal at California Trail Junior High School. She showed me the ropes! Marie ran the school office with a great sense of dedication and efficiency. Most of all, she was a great friend to all at the school. My deepest condolences to Jim and family.

I first met Marie as a neighbor to our family. She (and Jim) welcomed our family as soon as we moved across the street. Although it’s been a while since I’ve seen Marie, I remember her always being warm and friendly, she loved having fun, and Marie had a magnetic smile and infectious laugh. Marie was a dear friend to my mom, and I’m incredibly grateful for the times and memories they had together. Jim, Laura, and Michael, my deepest condolences. Sending you much love.
