Linda Kay Moberly, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026 at the age of 82.

Born on October 2, 1943, Linda lived a life defined by love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She touched the lives of many through her caring spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering support of those she loved.

Perhaps Linda’s greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She dearly loved her two grandsons, Liam (9) and Harlan (8), who brought endless happiness to her life. Whether sharing stories, celebrating milestones, or simply spending time together, Linda treasured every moment with them. Her love for Liam and Harlan was immeasurable, and the memories they shared will remain forever in their hearts.

She was a charter member of the Kappa Gamma chapter of Phi Tau Omega sorority, serving for decades and forming lifelong friendships while doing philanthropic work.

Linda is survived by her son, Steve Moberly, who was a constant source of pride and joy in her life, and grandsons Liam and Harlan. She is also survived by her brother and sister in law, John and Jennifer Batten, and nephew Jack Batten. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Richard.  They were married in 1965. She also leaves behind her dear friends the Karens, their families, and a lifetime of friends.

Linda will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, strength, and dedication to her family. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she freely gave.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all who cared for her.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at Porter Funeral Home on June 20th. Visitation from 11am-12pm. Services begin at 12pm.
