John was born July 22, 1935, in St Louis, MO to Melvin and Agnes (Nestle) Bossing.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in South Korea, driving armored vehicles for payroll. John was married to Clara Ann Beard in 1955.  John spent over 20 years working in the field of information technology as his primary career. He first worked for a newspaper where he helped do the lay outs. During that time he went to night school to get his degree in information technology. He spent a few years working with the department of agriculture. He came out of retirment to help his family and worked for Thomas Transportation in New Hampshire. After that he was a full time father for his grandson Jacob. He stayed active around the house until the time of his passing.  He was an usher for Queen of the Holy Rosary for over 10 years, being a member of the faith and community for over 40 years. He was a man of unmatched work ethic. John was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Teresa Bossing and his brother Jim Bossing.  He is survived by his wife, Clara Ann Bossing, grandson Jacob Bossing and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday, June 25, 2026, the Funeral Mass following at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Holy Rosary, 7023 West 71st Street, Overland Park, KS.  Burial at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
