She was a member of Cure of Ars Catholic Church and sang in the Cure of Ars choir. Their trip to Rome which included singing at Mass in St. Peter's Basilica was one of the highlights of her life & of the many trips she took with Donald. She enjoyed participating in 2 book clubs, the condolence committee, scripture study, and the women's bridge group at Cure of Ars, Questers, because she believed in preservation of historic landmarks, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Johnson County Genealogical Society & the Czech-Slovak Genealogical Society. Her love of genealogy led to finding both her relatives and Don's in the Czech Republic and to their exciting visit there. Jenifer loved life, her family & friends & thanked God for them. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Cure of Ars Catholic Church, 9405 Mission Rd., Leawood, KS, Catholic Charities of Northeast KS, 9720 W. 87th St., Overland Park, KS or Operation Breakthrough.

Jenifer was such a kind and wonderful human being. I always enjoyed going over to her house and talking to her about the things we both loved, such as traveling to foreign nations and their different cultures. She always made me feel welcomed and heard, and I enjoyed learning new things through her incredible life experiences. She will be greatly missed, and I will never forget the fun times we had together. God bless her soul and her family. I’ll be praying for all of you! Kennedi Forsythe

We were so very sorry to hear of Auntie Jenifer’s ‘s passing. She was a wonderful aunt and mother—family was everything to her. She stepped in as a mother figure to me when her sister passed away 10 years ago. She sincerely brought joy into our lives! We loved hearing her very memorable childhood stories, as well as her travel and family memories each time we visited. Jenifer was also a great conversationalist and exceptional hostess. What was most outstanding was her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sin. She was my godmother and instilled in me the importance of paying attention to the promises of God. I will always remember my Auntie fondly and lovingly, and will miss her for the rest of my life. Sending condolences and prayers to Uncle Don and my dear cousins. We love you!!
