Nov 14, 1957---Jul 13, 2025

Jeff left this world on Sunday, July 13 at his home in Kansas City, Kansas.  He stubbornly battled Cancer and died 2 days after “Ringing the bell” and completing his treatment.

Jeff was born on November 14, 1957 to John and Shirley Garvey, both deceased, in Kansas City. He is survived by his siblings: Randy Garvey (Pam) of Olathe, KS, Debra Pinkham (Bill) of Lopez Island, WA, Kelly Foudray of Springfield, MO, Patricia Lanman (Michael) of Lenexa, KS and Scott Garvey of Kansas City, KS.  He also leaves his long-time partner, Linda Sanders, with whom he lived, in Kansas City, KS. Jeff was blessed with a large family and leaves his aunts, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jeff led a simple life, full of challenges. In the past, he followed a winding path in life that held many difficulties. He held onto truths that did guide him though. He was a loyal friend, he loved his family, and he was an intolerable Raiders fan to the end!

One thing he was incredibly proud of was his service in the US Army. He was cared for in his last days by the excellent staff of the VA Hospital of Kansas City, MO and the VA Radiation Center in Overland Park, KS.  We appreciate all of your care and kindness.

Jeff will be cremated and his ashes will be interred at the Leavenworth National Military Cemetery.(Date to be determined).

“Not all who wander are lost”. Jeff always came home.

Moose ?? what can I say other than I’m truly going to miss you and that laugh. I remember when my mother first started seeing you and introduced us. I’m thinking Moose who would go by such a name? It didn’t take long to figure out why you had that nickname. I could Never refer to you as Jeff because Moose fit you. I have seen you go through some things in life that most wouldn’t have survived that’s for sure. Off all the things that could have got you I never would have thought Cancer would be what would take you from ALL of us. I know you are in heaven kicking it with Shawn O’Brien so give him a hug for me. Until we meet again, God Bless you.
