On the evening of November 20th, 2024, Ginger Schoenberger passed away surrounded by family. Ginger spent 19 years working at Sprint as a project manager.

She adored her family beyond measure. She was a devout Catholic her entire life. Ginger loved watching her husband Terry and families fast pitch softball games, as well as her grandkids sporting events. You could always find her home decorated with angels and elephants. Ginger loved swimming and all things water, she always loved spending time at Gardner Lake and creating those memories.

Over the years Ginger enjoyed volunteering for Special Olympics, Catholic charities and United Cerebral Palsy.  

Ginger was proceeded by her parents Sam and Jenny, sister Ruth, and daughter Gina. She was survived by her husband Terry, children and their spouses; John & Rebecca, Michelle & Brian, grandchildren; Jess, Bryan, Samantha, Stephanie, Sabrina and Sylvia, as well many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas.  Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26 at The Cathredal of St. Peter Catholic Church, 416 N 14th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.

My dear cousin Ginger. We grew up together made our first communion together. Went to Gardner Lake every weekend with your dad together graduated Grade school , graduated high school together. Spent all our holidays together at Nana‘s house and Gardner Lake, memories I cherish forever. I hope and I know when you got to the pearly gates, our family was there to greet you and maybe sit down at a table like we did it Na Na’s on holidays and have a feast with all of our relatives. I hope you were greeted by all of them, especially your daughter and your sister, mother and father. It’s very hard to realize that you have gone. I just can’t hardly believe it, but I’m glad you’re out of pain and not suffering any longer. You will be missed by everybody. I hope you will greet me when I get to the pearly gates, rest in peace and fly baby fly.

Dear John and family- I am so sorry for the loss of your mom / grandma(for the girls). I lost mom 3 years ago and my amazing grandma 10 years ago. Events like this will always be with you BUT so will the beautiful memories. The pain will get easier with time and with the strength from God you will be able to move forward . Just remember that Ginger is in a better place. Love you all.
