Gail Elizabeth Ogran, age 94, peacefully passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026. Gail was born to Ed and Amanda Erickson of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 5, 1931. She was the "last of six" which she was always quick to share, taking great pride in her role as the youngest to five doting siblings. Her earliest memories were of her parents welcoming travelling missionaries to their home in Milwaukee, which likely influenced Gail's decision to attend Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.
While in Chicago, Gail welcomed her first child, Dennis. Several years later, they welcomed a daughter, Crystal, to the family. Gail eventually returned to Milwaukee where she spent the next 50 years working and living near her daughter, Crystal, and her family. In addition to her love of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Gail took great pride in her work. She was a lifelong helper and always wanted to be useful, which may be why she retired from the same career twice!
In 2016, Gail made a home in Lenexa, Kansas near Dennis and his family. She enjoyed ladies Bible study, musical performances in her apartment complex, and going to the salon for her bi-weekly haircuts. In her final years, Gail moved in with Dennis and was lovingly cared for by him and his wife Carolyn. Gail faithfully loved and served the Lord her entire life and often spoke of her heart's fervent desire to see Christ's face. We take great comfort that she is now with her Lord, reunited with her heavenly family whom she missed so much, and in her assurance of eternity.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Amanda Erickson, her five siblings: Ruth (Harry) Cutting, Bernice (Sterling) West, Melvin (Ruth) Erickson, Bill (Peg) Erickson, and Caroline (Robert) Fields, and one granddaughter, Lindsey Page.
Gail is survived by her two children, Dennis (Carolyn) Ogran of Lenexa, KS, and Crystal Page of Waukesha, WI; six grandchildren, Karen (Matthew) Huber, Nikki (John) Menden, Jessica (Nathan) Reusch, Daniel (Gabby) Ogran, Tyler (Lisa) Page, and Laura (Billy) Mitchell; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 18 at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W. 87th Street Parkway, Lenexa KS.
