Feb 07, 1963---Oct 14, 2025

Erin Marie Kreutziger (Rafferty), 62 of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her life, Raymond (Ray), three sons and loving family members by her side on October 14th, 2025.

Erin Marie was born on February 7th, 1963 in Merriam, Kansas to Edwin and Elizabeth Rafferty.  She was the “middle child” of six siblings. Erin attended Cure' of Ars' Catholic Grade School and graduated from Bishop Miege High School where she was involved with the Choir and musicals.  Her younger summer days were filled with swim team, playing with neighbors, and enjoying time at Round Hill Pool. Erin's greatest joy was being a wife and mother. Erin did not know a stranger. Her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and incredible humor was a part of her daily life.

Her family shared that “Mom” was lighthearted, full of joy, witty and funny which came naturally to her. She always put others needs above her own and made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of. She had so much love to give. Dad and us boys were the center of her world, and she let us know every day. She was a “one of a kind” soul, and we were beyond blessed to have her in our lives. Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled.

Erin is preceded in death by her father Edwin L. Rafferty Sr, in-laws, John W. and Rosemarie Kreutizger. She is survived by her loving husband Raymond (Ray), her sons Joseph (Christine), Eddie, Jack (Mariah), Mother, Elizabeth Rafferty, siblings, Patricia Miller (Mike), Ed Rafferty (Brenda), Maureen Rosenstein (Michael), Donna Beal (David), Kathy Pikus (Frank) and Mary Rafferty and many loving nieces and nephews and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Memorial services to be held on Friday, October 17th, 2025, 2:00pm at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS  66215. Visitation to follow service.

Best friend since fourth grade ,Spring Hill ,Kansas

Dear Rafferty family, I just had lunch with her last week. I didn’t know she was sick. I’m .absolutely heartbroken. We just got back together and found each other., we looked through old yearbooks, and she had a picture of me. I couldn’t believe it.. we were so close as children. We were two peas in a pod And we always got in trouble together jumping on the beds or having a pillow fight and your dad would come in and yell at us like four times. Condolences to her husband and her boys! Her family was so special to me and I’m so sorry for your loss. We were so excited at lunch when we talked that we were back together and I will miss her so much. I will pray for all of you at this sad time. I will never have a friend like her again because she was so special! Erin, I will miss you so much but you will always be my best friend no matter if we’re apart Thank you for coming back in my life, even if it was a small time it was like we had never been apart. I love you my friend Cindy

Sending my deepest condolences to Ray, the boys, her family, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know Erin. She was truly one of a kind — her warmth and that unforgettable smile lit up every room. I met Erin when I was 20, and we became instant friends and later roommates. Even after I moved away, we always stayed connected. Erin loved Ray deeply, and her boys were the absolute light of her life — her pride and joy. I’m so grateful I had the chance to speak with her recently, not knowing it would be our last conversation. Erin, you will be deeply missed.

So sorry so hear about Erin's sudden passing. We were friends in our twenties and she always brought so much positivity to a room. I remember being at her wedding and seeing how happy she was with that infectious smile. She brought me into your wonderful close knit family and everyone was so kind. May God bless her and her sweet family. I am sure she will be watching over them in heaven.
