Cecil Luth, 78 of Edwardsville, KS peacefully passed away Friday April 18th surrounded by his family. Cecil was born March 25, 1947 in Kansas City, KS. He attended Wyandotte High School before he served 7 ½ years in the United States Air Force. He always liked sharing stories of the many countries he lived and served in. After the military he worked for 25 years for Santa Fe/Burlington Northern Santa Fe as an electrician and supervisor. His greatest joy in life was babies and being surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Barney and Donna Luth. His brother Henry Luth and his sisters Patricia Ackman and Mary Holwick.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Phyllis Luth. His sister Bonnie Luth. His daughter Barbara Long. His son Jeral (Heather) Luth. His grandchildren Danielle Long, Jonathan (Jennifer) Long, Cheyenne (Joe) Luth, Steven (Lisa) Luth. Great-grandchildren Grace Long, Zachary Long, Arianna Laub, Noah Lentz, Alexis Gomez, Cesalie Long, Athena Long and Liam Long and Unborn Baby Luth.
Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Road, Leavenworth, KS
