Carolyn Anderson (née McCamment) passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 21. Carolyn was born in Kansas City Kansas and graduated from St. Agnes School for Girls and Washington & Lee High School in Virginia. She married Joel Empie (father of son Jeff) in 1955, and later James Corrick and Billy Robertson. Carolyn had three great loves of her life: husband James Anderson, her high school sweetheart with whom she was reunited later in life; son Jeff whose many endeavors she tirelessly supported with her love, energy and finances for 68 years; and her home, an 1888 Queen Anne Victorian which she restored, maintained and furnished as a labor of love for 57 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claud & Carolyn McCamment, previous husbands Joel Empie and Billy Robertson, and husband James. She is survived by her son, Jeffery Corrick, son-in-law Stephen Brumble and niece Lauren Jardine.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3223 N 18th Street Kansas City, Kansas at 2pm on Friday, June 27th.
