Aug 15, 1992---Oct 21, 2025

Brian Patrick Kennedy, 33, Lee’s Summit, MO passed away October 21, 2025. There will be a private Mass at Holy Trinity Stone Chapel. The family requests no flowers and suggests memorial contributions to Wayside Waifs.

Brian was born August 15, 1992, in Kansas City, MO, to Kevin and Martha Coleman Kennedy. His brother Joe came along almost exactly 2 years later, completing the family. Brian spent most of his childhood in Lenexa, KS, graduating from Holy Trinity School and St. James Academy, before heading to the University of Kansas. He graduated from KU’s School of Engineering with a B.S. in Computer Science, and started his work life with National Benefits Center in Lee’s Summit, where he worked until his passing.

Brian was a gentle soul, and never had an unkind word to say about anybody. He was a true lover of all things outdoors and cherished his time exploring nature trails and parks. He loved the family dogs, Louie and Ollie, and they loved him with all their hearts. He volunteered at Wayside Waifs, and was always willing to help his friends at a moment’s notice.

Brian is survived by his parents and brother, and too many aunts, uncles, and cousins to name.

I did not know brian but, his name was mentioned in passing, by my wife. Mentions of his name were always of a warm nature. From what little I know of Brian, he seemed to be a kind, humorous, and gentle man. Lord knows we need more men of that nature in our lives. My condolences to the family during such a grievous time. May you have peace in the knowledge of Brian’s character and impact on those around him. May you find rest in the Lord, the comforter, the ever-merciful, and the lover of mankind.
