Barry Eugene Warren, 73, of Lenexa, Kansas passed away Thursday July 11, 2024. A celebration of his life will be held at the Lake Quivira Clubhouse, 100 Crescent Drive, Lake Quivira, KS from 4:30-6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to the Washburn University Law School or the American Diabetes Association.
Barry was born on April 23, 1951, in Denver, Colorado to parents Jean (Dickerson) Warren and James P. Warren. He graduated from Topeka West High School in 1969. He then attended Washburn University, Topeka, KS and was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He went on to attend Washburn University Law School. After receiving his law degree, he moved to Kansas City.
Right after Law School, Barry joined Wallace, Saunders, Austin, Brown and Enochs law firm in Overland Park where he was a partner and practiced for 40 years. Barry was an extraordinary defense lawyer, a successful trial lawyer and attained Super Lawyer status and a 5-star rating from his peers.

Throughout his many years at the firm Barry mentored many young associates and developed many friendships with attorneys throughout the Kansas City metro and across the country. He was a genuinely warm, kind and thoughtful man. He loved golf, music and the sun. Barry dealt with Type-1 Diabetes for more than 50 years.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Jean Warren and his brother Brad Warren. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Susan Evans Warren, daughter Lyndsay Farnsworth-Dick, son-in-law Aaron Dick and three grandsons, Kamden (16), Kohen (14) and Kase Dick (10), sister-in-law and brother-in-law Debbie and Paul Waid, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Larry & Terri Evans, many nieces and nephews and grand nephews.
