Albert G. Aldridge Jr., 92, of Lenexa, died Friday, September 12, 2025, at the home of his daughter Lori, while surrounded by family following a short illness. Visitation will be from 10-11am with the Memorial Service at 11am, Thursday, September 18 at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa KS. Private family burial will be at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Tee, Kansas City, at www.firstteekc.org.
Albert was born in Wolcott, KS and graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1952. He married his life-long love Barbara in 1953 and together they created a loving family that he treasured above all else. They moved a total of 15 times before settling in Lenexa in 1981. Albert served in the US Army for 2 years and then began a 36-year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone (AT&T). Albert and Barbara loved golf and spent as much time as possible sharing the sport. They made many friends on the course. He particularly enjoyed their time relaxing at their home on the Lake of the Ozarks and being members of the Rolling Hills CC in Versailles, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and son, Albert G Aldridge III.Albert is survived by his daughter Lori Bode and husband Brian, granddaughters Kate Johnson and husband Cory and Annie Hessenflow and husband Matthew, and great-grandchildren Andrew and Macy Johnson and Nolan and Opal Hessenflow.
