Mar 14, 1982---Sep 12, 2024

With heavy hearts but smiling through tears, we say goodbye to Rachel Levitin, a spirited soul who lit up every room she entered. Born in Kansas City, MO on March 14th, 1982, Rachel made her grand exit on September 12, 2024, at the age of 42.

Rachel was the beloved daughter of Benjamin and Lidya Levitin, the cherished sister of Vadim, and mama to her beloved poodle ZuZu, who was her entire world. Her family circle also included her dear uncle Vadim Sr., and his wonderful wife Patricia.

A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Overland Park, KS, Class of 2000, Rachel went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Science from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA in 2005. Her passion for music, whether she was belting out a high note or dancing with unrestrained joy, was matched only by her devotion to impeccable nails and a skincare routine that could put a spa to shame.

Rachel adored her favorite puns and pop culture references, and she was the queen of witty comebacks and dark humor, often turning a debate into a lively, laugh-out-loud spectacle. She had a knack for surrounding herself with a constellation of friends, each one drawn to her magnetic personality and unyielding zest for life.

Rachel was as loud as she was loving, as fierce as she was funny, and as unforgettable as she was cherished. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and the kind of vibrant energy that will be missed deeply.

Rest in peace, Rachel. Though your voice may be quieted, your spirit will continue to dance, sing, and sparkle in our hearts forever. You are so loved and will be incredibly missed.

With love and remembrance from your family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia St., Lenexa, KS.  Funeral services will be private.
