Todd driving the miles from Edwardsville to Shawnee over the years so Zach could be an Orange Monkey was a labor of love, pride, and a gift to BSA Troop 185. Seeing Father and Son at all of the various scouting activities brings back good memories. Zach, your dad and you both have inspired many of those around you. We wish we could thank Todd one more time for his service to our country. We know the family serves too, so thank you Malinda and Stoddard family. You are all in our prayers as you celebrate Todd’s life and say goodbye for now. Sincerely, Doc and Debbie Martin

SSG Stoddard, this is SGT Oh. I believe today will be the last farewell with you... I know I already said it before, but again, it was my very pleasure and blessing that I had you as my leader, and I was very pleased working with you as a team. I spent my 1st year as an NCO with you. I learned a lot from you, and I learned a lot about what is it to become a leader. You were my motivation and highly respected senior and a good friend. You were a very strong man that can outrun young privates. You were always there if anyone is going through something. I still have the conversations we had a few weeks ago on my phone. I shared my appreciation for having you as my leader, and do not let others let you down because you are a great person. You told me that the message means a lot to you, and also you wished me the best in my future assignments... We both agreed to keep in touch as we wish each other the best of luck! I really could not believe what happened to you. You would have listened to my personal struggles and helped me... But, I feel like I failed to do so for you... I wish you rest in peace with full of happiness... I am sending my condolences as a former PLT member... I will see you on the other side..! Hoorah!!!
