Alice B. Gage, 87, of Overland Park, KS, passed away on September 3, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, September 9, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd Street, Overland Park, KS 66214. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to The Overrun Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
Alice was born May 17, 1935, in Peekskill, NY to Stephen B. Dietz, Sr. and Josephine (Nunamann) Dietz. She was a Childcare Technician at the Peekskill Hospital/Hudson Valley Hospital for 43 years, before retiring in 1997. She lived in New York the first 62 years of her life before moving to Columbia, MO. During retirement, Alice volunteered at the American Red Cross Blood Donor Services Program and The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and was an avid walker, cyclist and traveler. Alice was a faithful, positive, encouraging and fun-loving person who touched many. In 2019 she moved to Overland Park, KS to be closer to family.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard W. Gage, Sr., son Richard W. Gage, Jr., brother Stephen B. Dietz, Jr., and her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Rampe. She is survived by her sister Louise Dietz of Valhalla, NY; sons Andrew (Angela) Gage of Overland Park, KS; Michael Gage and his longtime companion Mimi Fitzhugh of Carmel, NY; five granchildren MacKenzie (Ian) Epping of Waterloo, IA, Alicia (Tyler) Pelzer of Waukee, IA , Taylor (Colton) David of Mount Horeb, WI, Hannah Gage and Evan Gage (both of Overland Park, KS); two great-grandchildren Nora Epping and Maren Pelzer; and many extended family and friends.
