UBO INFANTE Jan 17, 2022

Father of friend ,Cedar Hill ,Texas

My name is Ubo Infante and I am the father of Paloma Infante who was a dear friend to Dustin. As Paloma's father who lives hundreds of miles away I only hear of her relationships and I thought that she was involved with Dustin and not her brother. It's easy to see why I made that assumption because on my end I would hear the joy in her voice about Dustin this and Dustin that. Although I never did meet Dustin I came to know of him through my conversations with Paloma and I could see how much he meant to her. Last time I saw her on Christmas break she had mentioned his love for The Minions so I sent back with her a Minions toy and she sent me a picture of him with it and it brought a smile to my face. A few weeks later when she told me the news of his passing I was saddened and felt hurt for her and mostly for his family. I know what is like to lose a loved one but the thing that has helped get me through the those tough times are all the precious memories that will always live on. May the comfort of those memories and the love from friends and family for Dustin help you through this difficult time. Sincerely, Ubo Infante

My son Brock was the 4th person on ECMO and I believe Dustin was the 3rd. We were sitting around just now talking about Brock because our Grandson Joshua just got released from CMH for a similar issue but from a different son. I still to this day remember Lee, Gina and Dustin so I looked up Gina on Facebook to see if she popped up and the obituary was the first thing I saw and my heart sank and I grieve for the entire family. I can’t imagine how hard it’s been the last 30 years but I’m sure you were blessed by this young man. He had a purpose and now is in the living hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will always remember Dustin and the love his parents had for him. I just now shared the link with the rest of my family and I’m sure they will be grieved as well. Brock went on to live a normal life and is married with two healthy beautiful girls. Praying for comfort and healing in the midst of your grief. Craig Brashears
