Richard L. "Dick" Phillis, 81, Lenexa, KS, died Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Olathe Medical Center.  A Celebration of Life for Dick will be held in the spring of 2022. The family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of the donor's choice.

     Dick was born April 30, 1940, in Des Moines, IA to Gerald and Eunice (Clark) Phillis. He had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area and had been a lifelong electrician, retiring from Children's Mercy Hospital in 2010. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Frank and Jerry and a daughter, Debra Cron. He is survived by his companion and wife of 30 years, Tommie Johnson-Phillis, his children, Pat Murphy, Penny Innis, David Phillis, Bernard Phillis and Mary Bland, his stepchildren, Lisa Johnson, Barbara Johnson, David Johnson, Kimberly Johnson and Steven Gengler, his brother, Don Phillis and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
