Dearest Stonestreet Family, I am so sorry for the profound loss of Vince. I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with him once at your home, and I understood right away where Eric got his sense of protectiveness, loyalty and curiosity. Vince was a bear of a man who spent hours going through stacks of Navajo (I think?) rugs and tapestries, answering my inane questions and barking at me when I tried his patience. He treated me like a member of the family: no fuss and lots of love. All I wanted to be that afternoon was a Stonestreet. Those few hours gave me insight into the stellar human being I call my brother, Eric. I did not get enough time with Vince, but I will always be grateful for the man he raised. Thank you, Vince, for the gift of your son. He will continue to represent you well, as you retire for a well-deserved rest. One of the things I loved about Vince was his laugh. Sure, he was a head strong, plain-speaking, no bull kind of guy, but there was also a real sweet funny side to him. He was always kind to me, Eric's buddy from LA, and so welcoming. Many things about Vince stick with me -- his strength, his conviction, his mini cannon -- but his laugh, especially when he laughed hard, that was gold. Sure glad I got to know him. My condolences, he will be missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of chatting with Vince when he would come in to do business at the bank where I worked in Leavenworth. Years ago, he would proudly talk about his wife and family and meeting up with his son Eric in Las Vegas and encouraged me to get my husband to take me some day. When we planned on going I told Vince and he generously reached out to the hotel we were staying and got us tickets to a show! We had wonderful time! Vince also brought in a baby gift when I had our youngest son. He was always so kind to me. I left my job at the bank but ran into him there a few years later at the bank and we talked for a moment. The Vince story that stands out is the one when I visited for dinner one night while traveling through KC. Vince and Jamey just finished their new home and Vince had some big NY strip steaks ready to put on the grill. He appreciated my appetite and I did not disappoint enjoying more than one of those hefty steaks. Vince showed me all around the house and everything had a special meaning where things came from and why he did it the way he did. I remember the hardwood floors from old bowling alley lanes from someone he knew. They were refinished and the most beautiful floors I had ever seen. Vince was telling me it was because of the extra coats of polyurethane he had them apply and it had to be gloss to give it depth. He said don't let them tell you they don't need those extra coats because they do. The floor guys will insist they don't need those extra coats. You'll have to stand your ground and tell them to just do it if they want the job. I'll never forget that visit and so grateful I took the time to stop that evening. I'm seriously still planning to have a floor like Vince had someday/somewhere to enjoy and tell the story this is why my floors are different. Thoughts and prayers to the Stonestreet family.

Paul, Jeannie, Martha, Leonard, and Jamey, so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of the Stonestreet clan when growing up on Sandusky. We were all such good, close neighborhood kids. Even at an early age, you could tell "Vincey" was an entrepreneur. I still have his and Pau's old business card for Stonestreet's "Ford: Model T, the Universal Car" with their address and phone number on it. All the good times we had growing up living on the same block and going to the same church and school are memories I'll never forget and I bet "Vincey" has probably struck a deal with our Lord, too!

And it was clear he truly prioritized and enjoyed his family. To the Stonestreet family, We are so sorry for the loss of Vince. I was lucky enough to not only spend time with Vince, but to also get a private tour from Eric around KC in Vince’s F-250 (Or was it a 350?), where he showed me everything that was influenced by Vince’s leadership. On what was a very snowy and icy day, I asked Eric why Vince doesn’t have four-wheel drive. Eric said, "Vince doesn’t need four-wheel drive". That sums up Vince for me. Tough, solid, a captain. He was so supportive of such a young coach and willing to help us in any way he could. We loved his stories and his generous heart. I always enjoyed talking with him and listening to his stories when he would stop by my grandparents (Bob & Dorothy Buehler) and have a drink with my grandfather. Vince was a big supporter of 4-H and fun to visit with during the fair. He never let Eric and I forget the year the judge gave us all white ribbons in senior showmanship with our pigs!
