A Memorial service will be held immediately after in the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Austin’s 3-year-old daughter, Olivia. Donations may be sent to https://gofund.me/6d160bd4 or be given to the donation collection at the service. The family asks that attendees wear Austin’s favorite color, purple, to the service. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Austin, weighing in at a whopping 10 lbs, was born to his mother, Jennifer Irwin, on November 21st, 1996. He was beloved by his brothers, Tyler and Michael Irwin, and his sister, Isabeal Castillo. He is missed by his father Ricardo Avila and his numerous aunts, uncles, family members, and friends. As big as Austin was as a child and adult, his heart was just as big if not bigger. He had a smile and laugh that could light up any room. He was known by many names throughout his life. He was Mr. Purple, its THUMPPY, Big Red, Big Texas, etc. to name a few. Each name was significant to a piece of him. He was a wrestler, football player, gamer, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and friend, but the most important name he ever received was “daddy” by his daughter, Olivia. Each person that held him dear had volumes to say about him as a kindhearted soul.

Austin and Tyler were attached at the hip growing up. Whenever they did something, it was always together, and Austin would always be there for him. When things got bad, Austin would be there to cheer him up and be his big brother. His sister, Isabeal, cherished him and will remember Austin forever as her best friend, not just her brother. She describes Austin as her personal diary. She was able to confide in him and not only did he listen, but he shared a few words of encouragement with her as he did with anyone that approached him. His brother, Michael, echoes these sentiments as he describes Austin as his motivation to get out and do things that he would never do himself. He was so kindhearted that he would lend a helping hand anytime anywhere.

His mother will always regard him as her Sunshine and her baby boy. They had a bond that was irreplaceable and stronger than anything else. His father shared a connection with him that allowed them to speak about anything and everything together. They had long conversations and enjoyed each other’s company regardless of the time of day.

He will always be with his family in their hearts and will be loved forever by anyone that crossed paths with him. His siblings and family would like for him to know that they love him and will make sure that Olivia has the life she deserves and will be taken care of. She will be protected the same way he protected each of his siblings and family members growing up. We will never forget your big, beautiful smile Austin. We love you.

Austin is survived by his mother (Jennifer Irwin), father (Ricardo Avila), brothers (Tyler and Michael Irwin), sister (Isabeal Castillo), daughter (Olivia Irwin), and many friends and family that have all gotten the chance to love and treasure him.

He was big part of my life and I will never forget the time I got. To spend with each other, he was the man who taught me how to drive he gave another family and my gorgeous niece. And waking up remembering he is gone is the most pain full but he said to me all the time. Life is for the living to live so I'm going to live life to the full. I love you Austin and I will miss you so much it hurts.
