Donna and family— I met Walt at Hallmark in the early 70’s and we worked closely together there for several years. He was much more than a good friend and colleague until he retired. Not having known him before he had nearly died a young man, I don’t know what influence that experience had on how he lived his life, but how he had chosen to live and work after that had a great positive influence on a lot of us. Walt loved life. He loved his Shriners and all they did together and his Chiefs (in most years), but, most of all, he loved Donna and his family. I am very sorry for your loss. Tom Owens

Condolences from myself and my wife Carole. We have many fond memories of the times spent with Walt and Donna. I was the Vice President of the Oriental Bandwhen Walt was President then followed him into the presidents position. We were together on many enjoyable occasions of Shrine functions. We won numerous Shrine Oriental Band competitions which made Walt very proud of his Shrine association and I was honored to be a friend associated with him. Walt will be missed. Sorry I couldn’t make the service but I will always cherish my fond memories of times spent with Walt & Donna. God Bless - Vern & Carole Vaubel

Donna and Family, I will remember Walt as one of the best I ever worked with at Hallmark. Walt was the epitome of what it meant to be a Hallmarker. He was kind, gracious, and caring. As a young man I was fortunate to have crossed path with Walt. Blessings and my sympathies as you celebrate the life of such a great individual. Sincerely, Homer Kay
