George Tullis, 80, of Lenexa, KS, peacefully passed away on July 14, 2021 surrounded by his family.

George was born in Ottumwa, IA on April 1, 1941, to Miriam (Head) Tullis and Garold TullisOn August 3, 1969, George married Marlene Anderson. 

While attending high school, George worked at a local grocery store. During college, he delivered dairy products during the school year and worked on road construction during the summer. After receiving his degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, he first went to work as a Train Master, because of his lifelong love of trains which was passed on to him from his father who also worked on the railroadGeorge later worked in purchasing and in project management. 

George was known for his love of trains and Corvettes and enjoyed collecting models of both. He was also the proud owner of many Corvettes during his lifetime.

George is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marlene (Anderson) Tullis, his daughter Stacey (Randy) Bowen, son David (LeeAnn) Tullis, and two grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Bowen.
