To those who will mourn him, family and friends, add me as one who will miss Sam. Gone too soon but his suffering is over. Sam was a good friend to me and I am grateful for his friendship.

Sam and I were good friends in high school and college but lost touch after I left KC. He was one of the most intelligent and interesting people I’ve ever known. I’m not surprised he lived a life of purpose in helping others. Sam made the world a better place and will be deeply missed.
