Mark was one of the kindest, patient, caring people we ever met. There were times when his smile would serve as a spotlight—from him escorting Ashley & Lindsay down the aisle to playing with his only grandchild Michael to watching a basketball game with Kyle, their dog in his lap as they cheered on their favorite teams. He was devoted to his extended Reed-Jarrard family, but reserved his most loving gaze for the woman of his dreams, his darling Karen for 40 years, with whom he built a network of love that will continue to sustain us all. ❤️ML & Jim

My sincerest sympathy to all of you. I so enjoyed your family when we were neighbors, and the kids when they were at Aquinas. Mark was always a true gentleman and I know he will be sorely missed.

I came to know Mark through my husband, Mike, as they worked together in Cedar Rapids. Mike introduced Mark to Karen many years ago. I have fond memories of double dating & the fun we shared while young & in love. Mark will be missed tremendously but his legacy will live on through his loving wife, wonderful children & grandson. Mark lives on in our hearts for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. Rest In Peace Mark. Colleen Phelps
