Kathleen A. Tyrer, 74, Drexel, MO, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021. Visitation will be from 

3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 23 at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS.  Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 24  at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. 

     Kathy was born January 15, 1947, in Kansas City, the daughter of John and Pauline (Ward) Bailey. She had worked as a teller for Turner State Bank and Security National Bank, retiring in 1984. Kathy was a member of Open Door Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jim Bailey, her husband, Stephen Tyrer and 2 grandsons, Jeffrey Petrey and Brian Jonas. Kathy is survived by 2 daughters, Christy Trapp (Charles), Patience M. Chambers (Kelly), 3 sisters, Pamela Castle (Steve), Beverly Fletcher and Sue Proctor, a step son, Stephen Tyrer (Lori), step daughter, Debbie Jonas (Jerry), grandchildren, Jonathan, Bryant, Taylor, Danielle, Jason, Brianne, Eric and Victoria and numerous great grandchildren.
