Robert Thomas Chambers, Sr., 91, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Monday, May 10, 2021. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 14, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd St., Overland Park, KS with the Memorial Mass following at 11 a.m. lnurnment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Little Sisters of the Lamb, 36 S. Boeke, Kansas City, KS 66101
Bob was born August 18, 1929, in Harrisburg, PA, the son of Charles and Mary (Hoffman) Chambers. He was a 1947 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg and on September 11, 1950, Bob joined the United States Marine Corp and served his country being discharged on April 4, 1952. On July 26, 1952 he married Louise Lois Santanna, in Harrisburg. After graduating from the General Motor's Institute, Bob and Louise lived in many cities around the U.S. with Bob's career with General Motors. In 1980 they moved to the Kansas City area settling in Overland Park. Bob and Louise loved traveling the world and playing golf in Mexico and St. Thomas. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and his beloved wife Louise on March 11, 2021. He is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Robert Jr. and Nancy, Brian and LeeAnn, David and Sandy, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Bob will be remembered as a loving father and husband that was dedicated to his family.
He'll be greatly missed and forever remembered in our prayers. It's comforting to know he is with God and his beloved Louise who he missed dearly. We know Mom and Dad are still looking over our family.
