Harrison Golway, 91, wonderful husband, supportive father and grandfather, Master Gardener, Korean War Veteran and VP of Manufacturing for Greif Packaging, passed away Friday, May 7th, 2021.
Catholic Mass to be held at Church of Ascension, Overland Park on May 20th 3:00 PM. Burial to be held in Wichita at Ascension Cemetery on May 21st 11:00 AM.
After his wife Jean passed away in September 2019, “Harry” moved closer to family in Overland Park. He enjoyed living in his retirement home and participating in activities, but mainly enjoyed watching the Golf Channel from his leather chair. He also enjoyed his regular Chick-fil-A, Minskys Pizza or Burnt-End Barbeque because the retirement home food was just too “cold” and eating an entire bag of tootsie rolls for dessert. Harry is now resting in Peace.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Golway, son Robert Golway, daughter Jane Golway and grandson, Josh. Survivors: sons, Dan (Kristina) Golway and John (Liz) Golway; daughter Jennifer Golway: grandchildren; Jack, Dawn, Callie, Ben, Danielle and Samantha.
