Mildred C. Bock, 83, Overland Park, KS, passed away Tuesday, May 15, at the Kansas City Hospice House. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. with visitation following until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia St. Lenexa, KS. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18, at Church of the Ascension, 9510 W. 127th St. Overland Park, KS. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.

Mildred was born July 2, 1934, in Tipton, MO, the daughter of Louis and Helen Knipp. Mildred was a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension, the Legion of Mary and was dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima. She was an avid gardener, seamstress, beautician and artist. She enjoyed caring for her close friends and family and baking deserts for everyone.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Anthony Bock in 2001, and 8 siblings. She is survived by her son, Russell Bock, daughters, Brenda (Marty) Clifford and Helen (Dennis) Watson, brother, Edwin (Maru) Knipp, sister, Edith (Ray) Courtney, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Kansas City Hospice and her favorite Doctor, John L. Dunlap M.D. for the excellent care given to Mildred.
