Robert E. Waldorf, 72, Overland Park, KS passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 in McAllen, TX. The visitation will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 13615 W. 92nd St., Lenexa, KS with the Memorial Mass at 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the DAV or the Brain Injury Association of Kansas and Greater Kansas City. Bob was born November 10, 1945, in Dayton, OH and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. Bob had served his country in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. After serving his country he had worked in the automotive industry for over 30 years. After retiring Bob enjoyed spending his winters in Mission, TX with his longtime companion Judy.. Bob was very proud of being a Scout Leader and the father of two Eagle Scouts. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp, hunt and fish and sharing those times with family and friends. Bob was always present to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Waldorf in 2003 and 2 sisters, Maxine Whelan and Marjorie Squire. Bob is survived by 3 beloved children and their spouses, Robert and Anne Waldorf, Deborah and Stan Manis, Thomas Waldorf, 7 grandchildren, Allie, Hannah, Brandon, Logan, Owen, Gavin and Jakob, his brother, Leonard Waldorf and a sister, Mary Jo Mrvichin (Milan).
