Merit D. Hill, 68, of Kansas City Kansas, passed March 31, 2018 at his home with his family by his side. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at Trinity Community Church, 5010 Parallel Pkwy, KCK; followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Trinity Community Church, Aspire (Home Care) Nashville Home Office, 333 Commerce Street. 7th floor, Nashville, TN 37201 or Crossroads Hospices Charity Fund, 11150 Thompson Ave, Lenexa, Ks. 66219. Merit was born October 14, 1949 to Bill and Betty Hill. He attended school thru out the Kansas City, KS area and graduated from Washington High in 1967. He served his country for four years active duty in the Navy, during which time he was awarded: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Metal. Merit worked for Associated Wholesale Grocers for 30 years. Upon retirement he was able to join the Super Senior Bowling League. This was his hobby and passion.

Merit was married to Peggy L. Hill for 18 years and was a proud father of four children, one stepdaughter, eight grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He had one brother who preceded him in death.
