Roger J. Freeman, 87, of Overland Park, KS, died Monday, March 19, 2018. Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, April 7, at Christ Church Anglican, 91st and Nall. In lieu of flowers, Roger requested memorial contributions go to Heart to Heart, www.hearttoheart.org. Cremation.

Roger lived a full life, had stories of his adventures and shared them with skill. He was an inventor, a sculptor and appreciator of all things beautiful. Roger worked many years in the insurance industry, owned a construction company, and retired to travel and enjoy life with his wife, Corene Deyermond-Freeman, who preceded him in death in 2016. Roger was also preceded in death by his parents and his eldest son, George.

He is survived by former wives Georgia Coons and Carma Freeman; children Kathy (Kenn) McComb, Margaret (Joseph) Hubbard and John Freeman (Mary); step-children Ginger (Mark) Zemelman, Elizabeth Deyermond (Randie Marah), and Robert Deyermond (Shonn Clark); Mike Gaffney, grandchildren Megan (Holt) Haynsworth, Malia (Tim) Martin, Katie McComb, Lee McComb (Meridith), Beth, Anna and Jackie Freeman; step-grandchildren Lisa and Amy Zemelman, Stephen Brown, Ty Marah, Grace (Jeremy) Elmore and Chris Deyermond, Brett, Matthew and Ashley Gaffney; great-grandchildren Zane O’Brien, Scarlett Martin and Chloe Haynsworth.

Roger was so sweet and caring. He was a one of a kind patient. He always smiled when I would see him, even during the last days he was alive. I enjoyed being his nurse for the short time I knew him. I find inspiration in how much faith he had in The Lord. I will always remember Roger and what a wonderful man he was. Rest in Peace, Roger. Until we meet again...
