Robbi J. Leno , Age: 60
November 06, 1957 -- March 22, 2018

Robbi J. Leno exited this cold and fitfully happy world on March 22, 2018, making her quiet getaway to seek the presence of Our Lord Jesus Christ, to Whom she devoted her life, body and soul, many years ago.

She was born ROBBI JAN BEEMAN on November 6, 1957 in Manhattan, KS, to Janet and Keith Beeman, DVM. Robbi grew up and spent her entire youth in Frankfort, Kansas, where she attended the Elementary school, and Frankfort High School, graduating in 1975 after a memorable career as cheerleading captain, track and volleyball athlete, FFA Sweetheart, and Homecoming Queen, all carried off in the exquisitely easy and graceful style everyone who knew her for.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in P.E. from Kansas State University in 1981, having become a member the Gamma Phi Beta Chapter community there. In May, 1983 she married Ralph Leno, a KSU student from Denville, NJ because, family and friends say, they shared a common and firmly held belief in the importance of laughter, family, and that Jesus Christ alone makes life worth living.

She was impeccably modest, when she wasn’t laughing out loud, which wasn’t often, but for the last 4 years of her elegant life, during which she summoned formidable powers of cool and fierce determination, joined with the hope and grace of Her Lord, to do battle with the colon cancer that would eventually have its way as, alas, it so often does.

She is survived by her 4 children, Vincent, 30 of the home, Sophia, 27 of Mission, KS, Olivia, 25, of Kansas City, MO, and Maria, 19, of the home, as well as husband Ralph, also of the home in Overland Park, KS. Her children, possessing the wit, stylish dignity, and exuberant love of life their mother will ever be known for, are truly disconsolate at the loss of so great an inspiration in their lives, but remain dedicated to honoring her memory exactly as she would think appropriate. Funeral services are Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11300 W. 103rd Street, Overland Park, Visitation at 10:30 am, Funeral Mass at Noon, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. The family invites all to a return to the church for food and beverages. No flowers please. Donations to: Robbi Leno Memorial, Operation Breakthrough, P.O. Box 412482, Kansas City, MO, 64141, or to Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Ralph, I want to extend to you my deepest sympathy on hearing that your wife Robbi has died. I could sense that she was a very loving and sweet woman, mother , and wife from her quiet and caring personality. I know that this period of your life may be the most difficult hill you ever climb, but I must encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord that ,.....in HIS plan,....Robbi has fulfilled her mission here, and that the impression (s) that she has left behind will strengthen you , your children, and your whole family toward achieving the end of your earthly mission . May GOD bless you Ralph and your children and continue to sustain you as you move forward in your healing. Peace, Buddy

Dear Ralph, Vincent, Sophia, Olivia and Maria, I was greatly saddened by the news of Robbi's passing and have had you all in my thoughts and prayers this past week. I only had met Robbi on a few occasions and could tell by her upbeat, happy, vibrant personality that she was a wonderful person and human being. More importantly I could tell she was a wonderful Mom friend and wife. I cannot imagine how you all are feeling at this difficult time but I can assure you that Robbi is with Our Lord and is in a place far better than we ill ever know with God and in peace. I know God will provide comfort, compassion and peace as the days pass and that you will always remember the wonderful, beautiful life she had with you all and know you will see her down the road in heaven. My sincere sympathies and prayers are with you all. Love , Cousin Joe
