Robert "Bob" Roland GaMarsh, II was born May 6,1955 In Copaigue, NY. He graduated from Lindenhurst High School in 1974 and joined the Army. He met the love of his life Cathy while stationed at Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA and was honorably discharged in 1980. They lived in Kansas City, KS where he worked for the Wyandotte County Court House as a Computer Programmer for 13 years. He then went on to work for UMB Bank - Technology Center as a Senior Program Analyst for 22 years until his untimely death. He was proceeded in death by his birth mother Celia GaMarsh, grandson Ambrose McEachron, Uncle Don and Aunt Stella Cannain. He is survived by his parents Bill and Ruth Collins of Florida, sister Sheryl Anderson of New York, brother Richard and Liz Collins, brother Michael and Marg Collins, wife of 42 years, Cathy GaMarsh of Kansas, son Wayne and Kayce GaMarsh of Missouri, daughter Mellissa and Rob McEachron of Kansas, daughter Marie Russell of Kansas, grandchildren Katelynn, Wyatt, Garrison, Hunter & Zoey, many aunts, uncles, sibling in laws, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was an amazing man who was loved by all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM with Services at 2:00 PM on Friday February 23, 2018 at Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Metro Lutheran Ministries, 3031 Holmes Rd., Kansas City, MO 64109.

My prayers go out to you all. Bob was a very quiet and nice person! I so enjoyed running into him a lot at Quik Trip In Merriam and then we'd come into the garage at UMB about the same time. I will truly miss that connection. He will be missed by all!
